WhatsApp Set to Introduce ‘New Feature’ for Channels

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has unveiled a new ‘automatic album’ feature for channels.

As per WaBetaInfo, this feature automatically organizes consecutive images or videos shared in a WhatsApp channel into a cohesive album.

Currently, this update is accessible to select beta testers and is set to be progressively rolled out to a wider user base in the coming days.

WhatsApp continues to introduce innovative features to enhance the user experience and provide more intuitive ways to engage with media content in channels.

“When channel admins share multiple consecutive images or videos in a channel, WhatsApp now automatically organizes them into a unified album, and channel followers can conveniently tap on the automatic album to access the entire collection,” explained a WhatsApp news source.

This feature was not available for channels previously. Additionally, the photos and videos shared within the album support channel reactions, contributing to improved media organization and accessibility for channel followers.

Users will have the convenience of tapping on the automatic album to explore and navigate through the entire collection.
