Latif Khosa officially Joins Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf
Khosa declared his decision during a media briefing at his Lahore residence.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader and ex-Punjab governor Latif Khosa has switched allegiance, revealing his decision at a press conference held at his Lahore residence, where he proudly displayed a PTI flag around his neck.
“I anticipate an end to the politics of hate,” stated Sardar Latif Khan Khosa during a media interaction in Lahore on Sunday.
As a prominent figure in legal and political circles, his recent decision to join the PTI is expected to bolster the party’s image during these challenging times when others are leaving. Khosa refuted the notion that the PTI opposes the army or other state institutions, emphasizing, “The army and other state institutions belong to us.”
Having previously been associated with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khosa has been involved in legal battles for Imran Khan and PTI leaders. He stressed the importance of upholding the law and the constitution, asserting that an individual garners respect when advocating for the supremacy of these principles.
Latif Khosa also condemned the detention of Sher Afzal Marwat outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), deeming it unlawful. He questioned the impartiality of DROS and ROs from the bureaucracy, expressing doubt about their ability to make independent decisions. Additionally, he voiced hope for a judiciary that dispenses justice.
