Meesha Shafi Emerges Victorious in Defamation Lawsuit Against TV Channel.

Renowned Pakistani rock star Meesha Shafi has secured a victory in the initial phase of her defamation legal battle against ARY’s UK broadcaster (NVTV).

Following a preliminary issues trial at the London High Court, it was determined that the channel had engaged in defamation of the highest degree against Shafi, particularly in broadcasts involving her and singer Ali Zafar.

In celebration of this legal triumph, Meesha took to the platform ‘X’ and shared, “LONDON HIGH COURT PASSES JUDGMENT IN MY FAVOR against #ARY after they aired disinformation, slandering me & misleading people to believe I am running from PK courts because they decided I am a liar instead of fact-checking.”

The contentious broadcast occurred on December 5, 2020, on ARY UK, and reports presented by newsreaders and on tickers during the broadcast were submitted as evidence.
