Pakistan Railways Restarts Peshawar to Karachi Awami Express Service After a 16-Months

Pakistan Railways Awami Express service from Peshawar Cantt to Karachi has been reinstated on Wednesday. The first train in 16 months departed for the port city.

The service was temporarily halted due to the 2022 floods and has now resumed after infrastructure maintenance and improvements. The train is scheduled to make 60 stops, including Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan.
