Sanam Javed to Run in Election Against Shehbaz & Maryam
Incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed is poised to run in the upcoming general election against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif and the party’s chief organizer Maryam Nawaz.
Javed, currently facing charges related to an alleged attack on military installations, throwing petrol bombs outside PTI founder’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore, and other offenses, will contest the election as announced by her father, Javed Iqbal, during a press conference in Lahore. Iqbal disclosed that it took him seven days to gather the required signatures on the nomination papers for his daughter.
Additionally, the mother of the PTI worker expressed her intention to spearhead the election campaign for her daughter. On December 2, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) approved the bail of PTI activist Sanam Javed in a case related to a police attack outside Zaman Park.
