Bilawal Announces PPP’s Pledge for Free Electricity to the Poor, Subsidies for Youth and Farmers
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari outlined on Monday the party’s commitment to supplying free solar electricity to impoverished households and implementing direct subsidy programs for the benefit of youth and farmers.
Speaking at the passing-out parade held at Bakhtawar Cadet College in Nawabshah, Bilawal emphasized the indispensable role of women in the country’s progress. A total of 57 women graduated from the college on Sunday.
He underscored that Benazir Bhutto had envisioned a Pakistan where women actively participated in all spheres of life, contributing significantly to the nation’s advancement.
The former foreign minister acknowledged the unprecedented economic challenges facing the country, emphasizing that resorting to political mudslinging would not resolve the crisis. Bilawal called for a new era of politics in the country.
Bilawal stated that if given the opportunity, the PPP would provide free electricity through solar energy to households consuming less than 300 units. Additionally, he announced plans to introduce youth cards and farmers cards, modeled after the Benazir Income Support Program.
Highlighting the ongoing need for ‘roti, kapra, and makan’ (bread, clothing, and shelter), Bilawal expressed the party’s commitment to expanding the revolution that originated in Sindh throughout the entire country
