PML-N Leaders Including Nawaz, Maryam Nawaz Cleared in NAB Scrutiny

PML-N Leaders Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Cleared in NAB Scrutiny.

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and party chief organizer Maryam Nawaz were cleared on Sunday after undergoing scrutiny by a special cell established at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headquarters in Islamabad, with the assistance of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Sources revealed that all PML-N leaders had been successfully cleared during the scrutiny process conducted by the NAB cell. The ongoing scrutiny of candidates from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and other political parties was reported to be in progress.

As per legal requirements, candidates who have engaged in plea bargaining and those with prior convictions were reported to be unwilling to participate in the upcoming elections.

Maryam Nawaz separately submitted her nomination papers for six seats in the upcoming general elections on Sunday. The submitted papers covered NA-119 and NA-120 in Lahore, as well as PP-80, PP-159, PP-160, and PP-165.
