PTCL Announces Tariff Increase for Landline and Broadband Services
In a recent update, the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has formally announced a tariff increase for both its landline and broadband services, scheduled to become effective from January 1, 2024.
PTCL customers nationwide received notifications about the impending hike through messages circulated on Friday, outlining a modification in the monthly rates exceeding 10%.
Insiders at PTCL disclosed that the decision to raise tariffs stems from the mounting operational costs confronting the telecommunications giant. In an endeavor to uphold service quality and address operational requirements, PTCL has deemed it essential to reconfigure the pricing structure for its services.
As part of the tariff adjustment, both landline customers and broadband subscribers will witness an upswing in their monthly bills. The broadband rate adjustments for Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connections are as follows:
- 6 Mbps: Rs2,050
- 10 Mbps: Rs2,400
- 20 Mbps: Rs2,650
- 30 Mbps: Rs3,020
- 50 Mbps: Rs5,100
- 100 Mbps: Rs8,800
