The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index experienced a marginal negative change of 0.01 percent, losing 7.69 points and closing at 64,639.16 points compared to the previous trading day’s closing at 64,646.85 points. The trading day saw a total volume of 548,989,972 shares, valued at Rs.15.395 billion, in contrast to the previous day’s 639,616,328 shares, valued at Rs.20.282 billion.
A total of 360 companies participated in the stock market, with 155 recording gains, 184 sustaining losses, and 21 maintaining unchanged share prices. The top three trading companies by volume were K-Electric Ltd, WorldCall Telecom, and Fauji Foods Ltd.
Among individual stocks, Unilever Pakistan Foods experienced the highest increase, with its share price rising by Rs.50.00 to close at Rs.22,250.00. Pak Suzuki Motor Company followed with a Rs.430.67 increase in its share price, closing at Rs.625.91.
