Karachi Experiences Chilly Weather as Cold Winds Bring Temperature Down to 14°C

A persistent cold spell has gripped Karachi following a drop in temperature to 14 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts a further decline in temperature over the next two days.

As per the information released on its website, the Meteorological Office stated that Karachi turned even chillier on Friday. On Saturday, the mercury is expected to decrease by one degree Celsius, lingering between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius.

Chilly breezes from the northeast, racing through Karachi at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour, have caused discomfort among residents in a city accustomed to milder weather.

Furthermore, there are expectations of light rain or drizzle in Karachi and various districts of the province.

Conversely, substantial fog is anticipated to blanket Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur Padaidan, and other elevated areas of Sindh during the morning and night hours.

In the upper regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, smog and frigid temperatures are on the horizon during the day, with the mercury ranging from 0°C to 8°C.
