The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts an increase in cold intensity in the upper parts of the country, with recorded minimum temperatures of -1, -2, and -4 degrees Celsius in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), respectively.
Residents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are currently experiencing chilly weather in mid-December, and further temperature drops are expected in the coming days, according to the PMD’s latest advisory.
The PMD predicts predominantly cold and dry weather in the capital, with the mercury expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the day.
Additionally, some areas in Sindh and Punjab are expected to encounter fog and smog during the early morning and late at night, according to the forecasts.
