Contempt Case: Legal Proceedings Commencing Today for Indictment of IK, Fawad
Legal Proceedings Regarding Indictment of Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry in Contempt of ECP Case to Take Place at Adiala Jail.
The Election Commission of Pakistan is set to conduct the proceedings associated with the contempt of ECP case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and ex-PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday.
The hearing will take place in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, where Khan is currently detained.
In the previous court session, Khan could not be formally indicted due to the non-appearance of his lawyer, Shoaib Shaheen.
The case revolves around accusations made by Khan and two party leaders, deemed baseless by the ECP, against the polls overseer. In one of his speeches, Khan alleged bias on the part of the commission and called for the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to resign.
