Imran Khan Submits Nomination Papers for NA-89 in Mianwali

Nomination papers for incarcerated Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan were submitted in Mianwali, Punjab, for the National Assembly’s NA-89 constituency on Friday, according to reports. PTI leader Seemabia Tahir filed the papers on Khan’s behalf in his home constituency. Khan, currently in custody since his arrest on August 5, faces various legal issues, including the cypher case. The Supreme Court recently granted bail to Khan and his ex-foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cypher case, following PTI’s appeal for a level playing field in the 2024 general elections.
