Zaka Ashraf’s Purported Audio Clip Unveils Startling Revelations Regarding the Pakistan Cricket Team
The recording exposes that the head of the PCB opted not to appoint Rizwan as captain due to his association with Babar Azam. Zaka Ashraf’s term as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faced yet another controversy when an audio clip, purportedly featuring him, circulated on social media on Monday.
In the audio, a man believed to be Ashraf is heard disclosing that he had a contingency plan in case Babar Azam relinquished the captaincy after the ODI World Cup 2023.
“When I suggested to Babar Azam that he should continue as the Test captain but resign from white-ball captaincy, he informed me that he would discuss it with his family,” he remarked.
The PCB chief then proceeded to claim that instead of consulting with his family, Azam contacted Talha, who advised the former captain to step down from captaincy in all formats.
He asserted that he refrained from appointing Mohammad Rizwan as the captain of the white-ball team due to allegations of his involvement with Talha and Babar Azam
